A new multi-use events center will be built in Dublin, California, Visit Tri-Valley announced this week.
“We are thrilled that Visit Tri-Valley has chosen Dublin as the future home of their state-of-the-art MultiUse Event Center,” said Dublin Mayor Michael McCorriston. “This facility will not only enhance our city’s standing as a premier destination for sports, entertainment and corporate events but also bring significant economic benefits to local businesses and communities throughout the entire Tri-Valley.”
The selection of Dublin for the site was approved by the VTV Board of Directors following a one-year market study and location vetting process. The proposed site is located next to the Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station and adjacent to Highway 580, giving the region the ability to host sports tournaments.
A report commissioned by Visit Tri-Valley highlighted the need for a multi-purpose center that had the ability to host sporting events. The 100,000-square-foot proposed venue would have the room for up to 24 volleyball courts and 16 basketball courts and would be utilized to recruit and attract other sports including gymnastics and fencing.
