The Virginia Beach Sports Center, which will host the NCAA Division III indoor track and field championships the next two years, will also host the championships in 2028.
The Virginia Beach Sports Center will co-host the event with Virginia Wesleyan University. The venue has hosted the Division III event the past two years as well.
“We are thrilled to be part of this event and thank the co-host, Virginia Wesleyan University, for their partnership,” said Nancy Helman, director of Virginia Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau. “It’s truly an honor for us to once again host such a prestigious and monumental occasion and be able to offer a world-class experience to both student-athletes and spectators.”
The 285,000-square-foot facility accommodates up to 5,000 spectators and features 12 basketball courts, 24 volleyball courts and a 200-meter hydraulic track. The Sports Facilities Companies since November has been the operating partner for the Virginia Beach Sports Center with Ryan Ladd installed as the new general manager.
