USA Swimming has announced the dates for its domestic competitions for the 2024 calendar year in the leadup to the 2024 Olympic Summer Games in Paris.
The event schedule is highlighted by the U.S. Olympic Team Trials from June 15-23 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, home of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts. It will be the first time the Trials have been held in an NFL stadium.
The rest of the 2024 schedule features Open Water Nationals and Junior Nationals, Speedo Winter Juniors, three TYR Pro Swim Series events and the Toyota U.S. Open.
The TYR events will be January 10–13 in Knoxville, Tennessee; March 6–9 in Westmont, Illinois; and April 10–13 in San Antonio, Texas. The Open Water and Junior Nationals will be May 3–5 in Sarasota, Florida, and the 18&U Spring Cups will take place at three sites: Elkhart, Indiana; Mesa, Arizona; and Fort Lauderdale, Florida from either May 1-4 or May 2-5.
USA Swimming has also partnered with three existing senior-level meets to provide one last tuneup before Trials. Prize money will be awarded by USA Swimming to the top three finishers in each event determined from combined results across all three meets. The Club Excellence Challenge Series from May 15–18 include the Speedo Grand Challenge in Irvine, California; the Atlanta Classic in Atlanta; and the Longhorn Elite Invite in Austin, Texas.
Right after the Trials are Speedo Summer Champs (senior and junior combined) from July 23–27 in Irvine, California. The Toyota U.S. Open will be December 4–7 and the Speedo Winter Juniors will be December 11–14, with both event locations to be announced at a later date.
