For the first time in history, the @NHL will host outdoor hockey in Florida, with the League staging two games in the Sunshine State during the 2025–2026 season. The @FlaPanthers, @NYRangers, @TBLightning and @NHLBruins will be the participating teams.
On January 7, West Virginia Governor Jim Justice delivered $1.8 million in matching funds to the city of Bridgeport to construct turf fields at @TheBridge_WV. The fields will serve various turf-related sports including baseball, soccer and lacrosse.
