Major League Baseball has entered into a global partnership agreement with Japan Airlines ahead of the MLB Tokyo Series in March featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs.
As part of the collaboration, Japan Airlines will launch the “JAL MLB Tokyo Series Boarding Campaign,” running through February 2025. Passengers who take two domestic flights with the JAL Group during this period will have the opportunity to win exclusive prizes through a lottery.
As an official sponsor, the airline will have enhanced fan experiences during the Tokyo Series, which marks the opening games of the 2025 Major League Baseball season from March 18–19. Prizes include tickets to the MLB Tokyo Series opening games and special travel packages. There will also be packages for preseason game tickets featuring the Cubs and Dodgers ahead of the two MLB games.
Japan Airlines has worked with MLB since 2003, when it signed a contract with New York Yankees outfielder Hideki Matsui following his transfer to MLB. The airline has consistently supported prominent Japanese players, including Shohei Ohtani, who has his face on the side of one of the company’s planes.
