Melissa Pine

The Women’s Tennis Association has named Melissa Pine tournament director for the WTA Championships. Pine joined the WTA in 2008 as the manager of strategic projects, working within several departments including marketing, tennis operations, business development and digital media.

“Melissa has had tremendous growth and success during her time at the WTA. Her leadership of the WTA Championships in Istanbul drove record-breaking success in 2012,” said WTA Chairman and CEO Stacey Allaster. “I am proud that Melissa has earned this opportunity to manage and implement our strategic vision for the Championships in Singapore, as well as developing our presence in the region.”
