.@westmisports says youth and amateur sports tourism generated $90.8 million in estimated economic impact for the region in 2024 through 112 events, the highest year in the organization’s history for visitor spending.

The @NWSL 2025 season will begin March 7 with the Challenge Cup in Orlando, Florida, and feature 190 matches and revised summer competition format before an eight-team playoffs in the fall.

The Athens Marathon goes by “The Authentic” for obvious reasons. Running where the marathon began and finishing in the stadium of the original modern Olympics, participants get a true once-in-a-lifetime experience. But the race is serious business and includes a 10K, a 5K and a 1,200-meter kids race. According to a study by Deloitte, it also brings in 45,000 visitors, half of which have never visited Greece before, fills hotels to 95 percent capacity, creates 18,240 jobs and generates an estimated 7 million Euros to the local economy.
