Italy to Host the Davis Cup Final 8 From 2025 to 2027
Six-day finale event draws 65,000 spectators from around the world
Posted On: December 2, 2024 By :The International Tennis Federation has announced Italy will host the Davis Cup Final 8 from 2025 to 2027, with the 2025 event staged in Bologna.
The past three editions of the six-day finale have been hosted in Malaga, Spain, drawing 65,000 spectators in 2024 — 43 percent of whom traveled from overseas. The Davis Cup in 2024 had 157 nations compete across all levels of competition with the final eight advancing to the final site.
“We are delighted to partner with the FITP for the Davis Cup Final 8. Italy has a rich history in tennis and a proven ability to host world-class sporting events,” said David Haggerty, ITF president. “We are confident that over the next three years working with the FITP we can take the Davis Cup even higher, providing an unforgettable experience for players and fans alike.”
Italy first competed in the Davis Cup in 1922 and has won the title three times (1976, 2023 and 2024) and finished as runners-up six times. Nicola Pietrangeli holds the record for most overall Davis Cup wins, most singles wins, most doubles wins, most ties and years played.

The FITP will build on Italy’s heritage in this competition, working closely with the ITF to deliver a spectacular event for the fans, as well as build an even greater future for tennis’ great global team asset.”
