Logitech is putting together a private, invite-only esports tournament designed specifically for gamers with disabilities.

The company last year invited six teams in a virtual 2v2 Rocket League tournament for adaptive gamers. This year’s event will be organized by Logitech G, the AbleGamers Charity, Adaptive Action Sports and Mount Sinai.

The group will launch a series of videos over the coming weeks highlighting how the event was created and outlining its significance for the community and participants. This year’s tournament will again involve Rocket League with the winner getting Logitech G gear.

The AbleGamers Charity aims to create opportunities to enable play in order to foster inclusive communities, combat social isolation and improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. Mount Sinai is New York City’s largest academic medical system and Adaptive Action Sports is a nonprofit organization that offers action sports, camps, events and elite level training for youth, young adults and veterans living with permanent physical disabilities.

AbleGamers is part of the local host committee for the 2021 EsportsTravel Summit scheduled for December 14–16 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
