Blast, Rocket League Esports and Fortnite Competitive have teamed with the Fort Worth Sports Commission and promotion company C3 Presents to help support and promote both events coming to Fort Worth. Blast has a multi-year deal and collaboration with Epic Games to run the Fortnite Championship Series and Rocket League Championship Series starting this year with Blast handling all operations of competitions, event production and marketing of the two leagues.
The FNCS Global Championship will take place September 7–8 and will feature 50 Fortnite Competitive duos from around the globe, competing for a share of the $2 million prize pool. To earn a place in the FNCS Global Championship 2024, a duo will need to reach a qualifying position in any of the three FNCS 2024 Majors.
This year’s Rocket League World Championship runs from September 10–15 and returns to Dickies Arena on September 13–15 for the final two days of competition in front of a live audience. The culmination of the RLCS 2024 season, the Rocket League World Championship will feature the 16 best international teams and a $1.165 million prize pool.
The RLCS 2024 season is increasing open competition, focusing on long-term sustainability and widening prizing for more players. It will have three in-person tournaments — the RLCS Major 1, RLCS Major 2 and then the Rocket League World Championship in Fort Worth.
To qualify for each RLCS Major, there will be three online Open Qualifier tournaments in each region, for a total of six online Open Qualifiers in 2024. Each online Open Qualifier will now use a standardized format across the year.
