While the fate of the college bowl season has been up in the air for months, ESPN has announced a broadcast schedule for 35 games that should help bring some clarity to the postseason and its events.
The network has announced its broadcast plans, including 13 games owned and operated by ESPN Events as well as the College Football Playoff Semifinals and Championship Game. A decision on the new Las Vegas Bowl will be announced at a later date. And several bowl games, including the inaugural Fenway Bowl, have announced that they will not hold events this year.
The remaining bowl season, which for this year will not require teams to have a minimum win-loss record to participate, will begin December 19 with ESPN Events’ Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl from Frisco, Texas, at 7 p.m. ET.
