Jetr Global Sports + Entertainment has announced David Francis will join the company in a newly created position as vice president of global growth strategy and government affairs.
Jetr Global is a firm specializing in global strategy, government affairs and international immigration for sports and entertainment. Travis Murphy, a former aide on Capitol Hill, foreign service officer and NBA executive, is CEO of the company.
Francis joins Jetr Global after spending 14 years at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, where he was senior advisor for government affairs during the administrations of Presidents Obama, Trump and Biden. He collaborated closely with high-performance athletes from Team USA, national governing bodies, federal agencies and Congress. He also supported six Olympic and Paralympic Games in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
“With major sporting events approaching, such as the LA28 Games, the Salt Lake City-Utah 2034 Games, the FIFA World Cup 26, and the Rugby World Cup, coupled with the global expansion of domestic professional leagues, I am eager to leverage my international perspective to foster growth, engagement, and long-term success for stakeholders worldwide,” Francis said.
Francis will lead Jetr Global’s government affairs efforts, helping clients navigate the political and regulatory landscape affecting the sports and entertainment industries. He’ll also be tasked with initiatives aimed at expanding stakeholder’s international presence and driving growth and strategic partnerships on a global scale.
“David’s unparalleled background in both government affairs and global sports strategy makes him an invaluable addition, and we are thrilled to add him to our team,” said Murphy. “His ability to deftly navigate government institutions and regulatory environments while fostering meaningful international partnerships will be instrumental as we expand our work across the global sports industry.”
