Corinne Shigemoto Named New CEO at USA Judo

Chief executive has been with national governing body for nearly two decades

Corinne Shigemoto, who has spent 18 years with USA Judo in various capacities, is the national governing body’s new chief executive officer with the departure of Keith Bryant, who has led the organization since 2016.

Shigemoto has been at various times chief operating officer, director of membership services, director of event services,and director of manager/coach development and education for USA Judo.

“I am pleased and excited to be back with the USA Judo family as CEO,” said Shigemoto. “I want to thank Keith Bryant for his service to USA Judo and wish him all the best. I know USA Judo is a great organization, and I look forward to helping lead the organization into the future.”

Shigemoto was a four-time national champion and alternate to the 1988 U.S. Olympic Team. She also served as women’s Olympic Team Coach at the 1996 Atlanta Games and Olympic Training Coach at the 1992 Barcelona Games.
