Concacaf Selects 15 U.S. Venues for 2019 Gold Cup

The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) has announced the 15 venues across 13 U.S. metropolitan cities that will host the 2019 Gold Cup next summer. The soccer tournament has been expanded to include a record 16 Concacaf member associations and will also be played in Central America and the Caribbean for the first time, with those markets and venues to be announced in coming months.

“The Gold Cup is anticipated every two years by fans across the region, as a true celebration of the vibrant culture and world-class football that make up our wonderful and diverse One Concacaf region,” said Concacaf President Victor Montagliani. “The venues selected thus far offer a mix of soccer history as well as a taste of the future of the sport in the U.S., and we are excited to work with the local host committees to bring the game to fans all over the U.S. With the upcoming selection of additional venues in the Caribbean and Central America, the Gold Cup becomes a regional event on even more levels, as Concacaf continues to focus on making football accessible to more teams, players and fans.”

The 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup U.S venues are:

• Allianz Field–Saint Paul, Minnesota
• Banc of California Stadium–Los Angeles
• Bank of America Stadium–Charlotte, North Carolina
• BBVA Compass Stadium–Houston
• Children’s Mercy Park–Kansas City, Kansas
• FirstEnergy Stadium–Cleveland
• Lincoln Financial Field–Philadelphia
• Nissan Stadium–Nashville, Tennessee
• NRG Stadium–Houston
• Red Bull Arena–Harrison, New Jersey
• Rose Bowl–Pasadena, California
• Soldier Field–Chicago
• Sports Authority Field at Mile High–Denver
• Toyota Stadium–Frisco, Texas
• University of Phoenix Stadium–Glendale, Arizona

The list includes two of the United States’ newest soccer venues, Banc of California Stadium and Allianz Field. Banc of California opened in April and is home to Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Football Club. The match at Allianz Field, which is scheduled to open this July, will mark the first time the Gold Club will be held in Minnesota. Additionally, eight of the Gold Cup host markets—Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York/New Jersey and Philadelphia—have been announced as the United Bid’s final candidate host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The 2019 Gold Cup will be broadcast across the United States on the Univision and Fox networks and transmitted on radio in Spanish by Fútbol de Primera Radio Network.
