2026 World Men’s Curling Championship Headed to Ogden
Weber County Ice Sheet will host from March 28 to April 5
Posted On: March 14, 2025 By :The 2026 World Men’s Curling Championship will take place in Ogden, Utah, from March 28 to April 5 at the Weber County Ice Sheet.
The last time the event was hosted in the U.S. was in 2022 in Las Vegas. The Weber County Ice Sheet has not hosted a curling event of this caliber since the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. The event will be hosted by Weber County, Visit Ogden, Ogden, the Utah Sports Commission and the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation.
“Hosting the 2026 LGT World Men’s Curling Championship in Utah is another exciting milestone in our state’s long history of world-class sporting events,” said Jeff Robbins, president and chief executive officer of the Utah Sports Commission. “This event strengthens Utah’s sport and Olympic legacy while also building momentum as we prepare to welcome the world again in 2034.”
Visit Ogden will be responsible for host city activation, while the city will provide volunteer support. The Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation will provide event delivery and staff expertise and the Utah Sports Commission will contribute financial and promotional support.
“The Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation is delighted to be working with so many community partners to bring this event to Utah and to continue showcasing world-class winter sport events in our communities,” said Calum Clark, chief operating officer of the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation.
The World Men’s Curling Championship is organized by World Curling and features a global selection of teams, with entries determined through zonal qualification events.
